One of the best ways to stay up to date with updates or security patches is to update your server often and schedule to do so. Monthly updates are completely acceptable. However, it's better to run updates weekly or twice a week. This will ensure that your server is always as up-to-date as possible. WordPress, cPanel, and WHM will often tell you if a critical or new update is available.

As Windows updates can take a while to complete, it is recommended to do this during non-business hours or on planned maintenance as they also require a reboot to apply.
